The idea behind Genuine + Unapologetic took about a year to develop. When I began blogging in March of 2019, I knew the goal was to truly speak my mind no matter how embarrassing, radical, or silly my thoughts were.

It took a pandemic and social justice movement to finally understand my full purpose behind having an online presence. As I am writing and posting about Black Lives Matter and my experience as a Black and Mexican woman in America, I was constantly saying to myself,

 

"I don't care if people think I'm being outrageous. I'm speaking the truth. I'm speaking my truth".

Duh! I was just being unapologetically genuine.

A vow to myself and to you: I will always speak truly what something is said to be and will never express regret for what is said.
